Don’t Count on Home Insurance When Making A Home Based Business Claim

Research carried out by one of the UK’s largest insurers, Direct Line, has found that many home business owners are leaving their business uncovered by not having the correct business insurance. If your business isn’t covered with the correct insurance, you could end up loosing money if your business is ever unable to trade due to un-seen circumstances.

Direct Line found that over 25% of all home based businesses don’t have the correct insurance to cover themselves. (more…)

Price Comparison Sites Becoming Redundant

Even if you rarely watch TV, no doubt you have seen one of the aweful adverts from the price comparison websites, whether it’s Peter Jones walking around a glass supermarket, or an opera singer dancing around a coffee shop, the adverts just seem to get worse each time.

It was a couple of years ago now that we saw the first price comparison site TV advert, this was back when they only really dealed with car insurance. However, as these sites get bigger, they have discovered how lazy the people of the UK really are and have widened their sites to offer anything and everything, from loans to small business insurance. The sale of PPI alongside loans is now banned in the UK. People who would like to purchase Payment Protection Insurance can choose to buy a standalone policy rather than a single premium policy.
